Every Try is a Donation
We’re working with GB7s to show that there’s so much more to sport than winning: there’s camaraderie, exercise, mental and physical conditioning, encouragement – and teamwork.
In Vancouver, we’re teaming up with Justice Rugby, a program created by Vancouver’s Police Foundation. For every try scored by both women’s and men’s GB7 teams throughout the Vancouver tournament, ActiveOps will make a donation to Justice Rugby. Through this donation, we hope to support the bi-annual tournaments that Justice Rugby run, alongside regular programming in between these events. We’re working with GB7s to show that there’s so much more to sport than winning: there’s camaraderie, exercise, mental and physical conditioning, encouragement – and teamwork.
About Justice Rugby
Justice Rugby was created by two police officers in Vancouver as a way to encourage underprivileged youth to participate in sport. The program combines learning how to play rugby with building teamwork skills, resiliency, encouraging others and simply having fun. Despite rugby being a global, inclusive sport, most Canadian children won’t experience it unless they attend certain schools. The popularity in recent years of 7s in particular has captured the attention of Vancouver’s youth – with a sense of belonging in the sport is so critical to youth who may otherwise feel alone or isolated.
