An invitation-only dinner for Operations leaders
Join us at our Invite-Only Senior Leaders Dinner in Cape Town. Guest speaker Schalk Brits will discuss his experiences in the world of rugby, and how important he feels data is to the sport.
The importance of data both in the boardroom and on the rugby pitch cannot be overstated. You are invited to an evening of discussion about Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry, where we will be joined by Schalk Brits, World Cup-winning Springbok and one of the most decorated hookers in the modern game.
Schalk will talk through his experience of elite rugby, from his years at Saracens to lifting the World Cup with South Africa in 2019, and how data and decision-making shaped performance at every level, on the training pitch, in selection, and under pressure in a Test match.
Schalk Brits
Schalk Brits is a World Cup-winning Springbok and one of the most distinctive hookers to play the modern game, known as much for his skill and mobility as for the trophies he collected along the way.
Brits played for Western Province, the Stormers, and the Bulls before moving to Saracens in 2009, where he spent nine seasons and became a fan favourite for his unconventional, ball-in-hand style at hooker. He won four English Premiership titles and two Champions Cups with the club, and was voted Players’ Player of the Year.
Capped 15 times for South Africa between 2008 and 2019, he was part of the Springbok squad that won the Rugby World Cup in Japan, captaining the side in their pool match against Namibia.
