  • Track efficiency

    Of customer service operations

  • Review changes

Workware – Business Outcome Modeller

A business outcome is the result of an end-to-end business process often across multiple teams and departments. For example, an insurance claim.

Workware Business Outcome Modeller (BOM) calculates the standard time for an outcome and the consumption of resources comprising of all direct activities (core tasks). Allocations for indirect activities include training, meetings (diverted time) and annual and personal leave (downtime).

Business Outcome Modeller – an example

This example uses the Business Outcome Modeller to measure an insurance claim process.

The same core or diverted task will often contribute toward several outcomes.

Policy application processing by operations center

Business Outcome Modeller can be used to highlight resources consumption and productivity among insurance policy applications processing, such as:

  • Volume of core tasks per outcome
  • Time consumed per outcome
  • Productivity per outcome
  • Complements ‘department/team’ view

Although each policy application consumed a different level of resources productivity is materially the same.

Life applications took roughly 1.5 hours longer to process than car or home policy applications. Differences discovered were the quality of information being provided, process details required for this policy type and higher volumes of core tasks. This rich source of quantified data now identifies continuous improvement opportunities. You are able to measure how benefits were realized.

Reporting and Dashboards

Workware Data Insights captures and reports on frequency, volume and duration of each core and diverted task, as well as each team’s contribution to an outcome.

Workware Business Outcome Modeller allows operations and process improvement professionals to measure the effectiveness of multiple outcomes among  divisions, departments and teams.

Key reports include:

  • Multiple outcome review
  • Outcome performance dashboard
  • Outcome performance report
  • Outcome performance report by workgroup
